Barbara Ann Kling

b. February 26, 1940, in Culver City, CA

d. March 10, 2023, Phoenix, AZ

Barbara Ann (Williams) Kling was the first-born daughter of Preston Blair and Anna Lucille William in Culver City California on February 26, 1940. She graduated from Hamilton High School in Los Angeles in the class of Winter of 1958. She married the love of her life, James (“Jim”) Kling in December of 1961. They remained a devoted couple for 56 years, until his passing in December of 2017. Throughout their life together, they started their family in Torrance, CA before moving to Fountain Valley, CA. Upon their retirement, they called Prescott Valley, AZ their home before moving to Phoenix, AZ for their remaining days.

Barbara was dedicated to her family, friends, and her faith. She loved nothing more than being a wife, mother, and grandmother, and living a life in service of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Barbara is survived by her son, Greg, daughter in law Lesley, and her four grandchildren, Hayley and her husband Michael, Adam, Melissa, and Jayce, her sister and brother in law, Etta Mae and Gary Svider, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. She is proceeded in death by her husband Jim and her son Doug.

Services to be held at St. Mark Lutheran Church at 3030 E. Thunderbird Road, Phoenix, AZ 85032. In lieu of flowers, Barbara has asked that donations be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church.
