Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary & Cemetery

Barbara Crystal Womack, born Barbara Crystal Lowry on September 26, 1953, in Mascoutah, IL, passed away on April 11, 2023, in Youngtown, AZ. She was 69 years old.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Alma Lowry, and her brothers Richard Lowry and Robin Lowry. She is survived by her sister and best friend, Nancy Waugh, and her brothers Roger Lowry, Randy Lowry, Ronnie Lowry, and Bob Lowry.

Throughout her life, Barbara’s joyful spirit, infectious laughter, and playful pranks endeared her to all who knew her. She quickly treated everyone she met as a friend and was always ready with a warm embrace that would nearly squeeze the life out of you. Her beautiful smile and giving heart made her beautiful inside and out.

She was a loving wife, mother, and stepmother, and her family was her greatest joy. Barbara is survived by her husband, Dusty Womack, her children, Charles Lowry and Tammy Sergent, and her stepchildren, April Butler and Joey Butler. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Ashley Sergent, Austin Sergent, Alyssa Sergent, Jayden Sergent, Adanna Allen, Rebekah Allen, Chad Allen, Christopher Gatti, Allison Hahn-Lowry and Asher Hahn-Lowry. Her niece, Crystal Waugh Crisswell, was by her side when she passed away.

One of Barbara’s lifelong passions was horses. She was a cowgirl at heart, and her love for horses never waned. Her deep appreciation for these magnificent animals was evident in everything she did, from riding them to caring for them. She saddled up one last time and is joyfully riding in heaven now.

Barbara will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family, friends, and community will always cherish the memories they shared with her, and her spirit will live on through those who were touched by her love and kindness.

A memorial service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be planned at a later time and all who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and pay their respects.
