Bernard Swier went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 14, 2026. He was born in Rock Valley, Iowa to Edward and Alice Swier. He moved to Arizona when he was a teenager and graduated from Phoenix Christian High School. He then went into the Navy. After that he was an electrical and general contractor running his own businesses. He lived most of his life in Arizona but also lived for a time in Oregon.
He is survived by 4 children, 14 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. His faith and family were the most important things to him. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol. He was 89 years old and resided in Glendale, AZ.
An informal time of remembrance and celebration of his life will be held at Greenwood Mortuary, 719 N 27th Ave. in Phoenix on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, beginning at 9:30 am. A graveside service will follow at 10:30 am.
