Betty Jean (Quinn) Hassinger's 95 years of loving and giving ended on November 7, 2018. Betty was born in Miami, Arizona on December 17, 1922; a Christmas gift to her parents Lester F. Quinn and Mae Triniman Quinn.
After graduating from Miami High School she attended the University of Arizona and Phoenix College. Betty worked for the state of Arizona for over 26 years, ending her career as the Administrative Assistant to the director of the Department of Administration. She married her high school sweetheart Warren Hassinger on September 18, 1943, and they were happily married until she was widowed in 1975.
Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She wasn't a club person or a joiner, but chose to spend her time helping and taking care of others. Her kind heart and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughters Kathleen M. Turner and Charleen S. Gordinier; grandchildren Marci Frantz, Maryann Thornton Trigg, Warren Gordinier, and Billy Gordinier; great grandchildren Avery, David, Anastacia, and Brieanna; and nieces and Nephew Siiri Granfelt Julian, Kari Granfelt Puma, and Carl Granfelt.
Services for Betty will be on Wednesday, November 14 at Greenwood Memory Lawn at 1:00 pm. Visitation is at 12:30 pm and graveside services will follow. If you would like to make a donation in Betty Hassinger's name, please donate to the American Cancer Society.
