Betty Jane Kennedy, 85, passed away on August 26, 2014. She was born March 7, 1929 in Schubert, Nebraska to Charles and Glady Conn. In 1949, she married Robert (Bob) Kennedy and together they had two children, James Lynn (Jim) and Robert Charles (Chuck). Betty was a devoted wife and mother. She loved her family and delighted in her grandchildren. Betty faced all that life brought with admirable strength, absolute constancy and enduring grace. She was the definition of selflessness. She is survived by her son, Chuck and grandchildren, Kirwan Mary and Timothy Robert. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob and her son, Jim. Committal will be at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at Phoenix Memorial Park, 200 W. Beardsley Road.
