Betty Jeanine Soffel, beloved mother and grandmother, entered the afterlife on December 15, 2025. She was 96 years old when she passed peacefully while surrounded by her family. She retired from Mountain Bell after 38 years, beginning as an information operator, moving up to middle management. She also enjoyed traveling to other countries, often by herself. She kept in touch with her children, grandchildren, and other relatives often via telephone. She is preceded by her husband, Tom, Sr., parents Claude Conrad Pettiet, Sr. and Johnnie Pettiet, née Marlatt, brother Claude Conrad Pettiet Jr. (Linda), daughter Pamela, and a grandson, Jeremy. She is survived by her two sons, Tom, Jr.(Rose), and Mark(Patty), as well as eight grandchildren, Shana(Michael), Ingrid(Anthony), Emil, Robert(Bethany), Nicholas(Esmeralda), Danielle, Alicia, and Amber, twelve great grandchildren, Lenore, Pandora, Troy, Gabriel, Aaliyah, Austen, Brooks, Mia, Peyton( Emily), Aliviyah, Gavyn, Ivy and a great-great grandchild, Milés.
