I remember Aunt Colleen as a gentle spirit with a twinkle in her eyes, like she was always looking at the bright side of life. I wasn't around her a lot, since she lived in Arizona. I know mom was so happy to have her visit. Visits from Uncle Kenny, Grandma Shaw and all her family were fun. I heard many stories about how Aunt Colleen worked in Washington D.C. as a secretary and then was a nurse. Mom said Aunt Colleen began her nursing career by attending a nursing school in the same town she and Dad lived in during the war. We are all sad and will miss Colleen very much.
