I just learned of Billy's homegoing and am deeply sorry for your loss.  My brother, Joe, loved both of you so much!  I am so grateful for your and Billy's contribution to Joe and precious Martha's lives enabling them to do things they enjoyed so much.  You are special Billy and Iris. I am proud to say, Billy Guy was my friend,apprenticeship school mate, then later my employee.we attended classes together, three nights a week for five long years together at the union hall. He lived only a mile from me and told me many stories about East Tennessee and the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina. I remember he was always proud of his freezer full out wild game meat. He once offered me a wrapped package of ground hog from Tennessee, but I declined.I now live in Tennessee on an 800 acre farm.Every time I see a ground hog scamper out of the woods, I think of Billy. Billy was an extraordinary worker.A true self motivated, highest quality professional ethic,honest,loyal,and a man of highest moral character. We often shared our opinions and our lunch box treats on the job.Billy made me more money than five men put together and he developed management skills at my firm running many jobs and difficult projects.He was a fair man to his men, and to the company. Most men gave 8 hours work for 8 hours pay, but Billy always gave the extra mile for the project. He used to say...I can weld anything but a broken heart, but only Jesus Christ can fix that! I hope our Blessed Lord Jesus will do just that for his wife devoted little girl,for he adored them both. Please accept my heart felt sorrow at your loss. I have it on good council, that the Lord always takes the very best.....In our case, Billy was the best of all of us!

My Deepest Sympathy to the Guy Family. May the Lord comfort you all .  I met Billy and Iris through my parents who have both passed on almost 20 years ago. Billy and my dad Wilfred Okulich worked together and they all became very close friends (Billy and Iris and my parents)  , they liked to fish together "even if it was just a big fish story about who caught the big one  they would share over the fence as neighbors". They moved to New River both around the same time and I remember how hard they worked together helping each other build their dream houses away from the city and got in a fishing trip when they could. It was always so comforting after my dad passed to know that Billy and Iris were right next door if my mom need any thing , she past a couple years after my dad then  I moved to New River 20 years ago. Billy and I had a lot of little visits over the years at the mail box as he was giving his dog a ride on the 4 wheeler grinning ear to ear . Though I really didn't know the Guy's in the same aspect as my parents had I knew if I needed anything ever (and I did a few times) that they were always right there to lend a hand. Thank you so much , you probably never knew how comforting it was for me to live right next door to my parents best friends you both unknowing filled some of the void in my life...that I felt after my parents were gone. Billy Guy, I am proud to say he was my journeyman and taught me his trade well.  Awesome all around individual.  Welder, fitter, fisherman, archer, husband you name it, he was good at it.  You will be missed my friend.

I first worked with Billy back in the 70's on a few power houses in Northern Arizona, then years later we hooked up at Lake Pleasant working on the dam welding 120 inch pipe. I hadn't seen Billy since that project. Billy loved his family, without a doubt loved his country, was a happy go lucky guy, was a strong union man, a hard worker and a outstanding welder/fitter. I enjoyed working with him and all of the welding tips and tricks he shared with me in those days. I also might add he was an accomplished dirt bike rider and mentored me there as well.

RIP buddy ...

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. The Almighty God understands when the pain leaves you "sleepless from grief" and will strengthen you (Psalm 119:28). May the scriptures and the love of those around you fortify you in the coming difficult days.

Billy was one of the most respected members of Local 469. I was lucky to have him for an instructor and a mentor. I will miss him dearly.

Indeed he will be missed. Years ago I worked with Billy in Page, Cholla Power Plant near Holbrook and at the Lake Pleasant dam. Great personality, a happy go lucky guy, super hard dedicated worker, an outstanding welder and fitter. He indeed loved his country and the union he was a member of. I thoroughly enjoyed all the times I had the opportunity of working with him and all of the welding tips and tricks he shared. He was also an excellent dirt bike rider and mentored me there as well. RIP buddy.

I enjoyed working with billy over the years. He inspired me to be the best welder I could be. I will miss his laugh, smile and good nature.
