Blaise Marie Gagliano passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 15, 2021, in Phoenix, Arizona. Born November 27, 1928, she is preceded in death by her brother Nicholas, and her sister Vincenza. She is survived by her brother’s children, Regina, Paul, George Gagliano and Cecilia Cline along with numerous great and great-great nephews and nieces. She was born and grew up in Shorewood, Wisconsin, the daughter of Joseph and Mamie Gagliano (nee Catalano), Blaise attended Milwaukee-Downer College and received her Masters Degree in Library Science from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
She taught grade school in Milwaukee and in Phoenix and then began a career as an archivist that culminated as the Head of Archives for the State of Arizona. She retired in 1985.
A devout Catholic all her life, she was devoted to her family especially her sister Vincenza.
Blaise was an accomplished pianist. Her hobbies included reading, gardening, baking and needlework, She most enjoyed antiquing with her sister.
