Bob Barrett of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on Feb 12, 2018 at the age of 78. Bob was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. Bob is survived by his son Pat, his daughter Julie, his 5 grandchildren; Calliandra, Samantha, Cole, Courtney, and Ellarie, 5 great grandchildren; Brody, Lilah, Holland, Blakely, and Wiley and his brother Terry. Bob served 5 years in the Coast Guard. He came to the Valley in 1966 to join the Tempe Police Department and later joined the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office in July 1970 until he retired in 1990. He was Deputy of Year in 1986 and State of Arizona Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. He has enjoyed his last 12 years employed at Turf Paradise in security. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 11:00 to 1:00 with a funeral service at 1:00 held at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E Greenway Road in Phoenix.
