A Life Filled with Love, Family, Music, and Faith. It is with deep sadness but profound gratitude for a life well-lived, that we announce the passing of Bridget McMorrow (affectionately known as Bridie and lovingly called “B” by her grandchildren). Bridie McMorrow (née Cleary) passed peacefully on March 14, 2025, at her home in Phoenix, Arizona, surrounded by her family. Bridie was a cherished soul, known for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her animals, family, and friends. Originally from Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare, she carried the spirit of Ireland in her heart and shared it freely with those around her. She was the beloved wife of the late Patrick McMorrow of Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim, and together, they built a home filled with music, laughter, and joy. Bridie was the tenth and final surviving child of Thomas and Katherine Cleary from Illaun, County Clare, Ireland. Bridie’s greatest love was passing on her and her ancestors’ passion for Irish traditional music to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; a legacy that will continue for generations. She hosted countless gatherings filled with Irish dishes, soda bread, stories, songs, music, dancing, and laughter. In her later years, she found solace and joy in singing songs of old with her sons and daughter in the quiet evening hours. She was dedicated to her daily novena prayers. She was a steadfast friend, a great wife and mother, and a guiding light to all who knew her. Bridie is lovingly remembered by her children: John and his wife Lisa McMorrow, Jerry and his wife Marion McMorrow, Claire and her husband Pat Cunningham, and Dennis McMorrow. She was a devoted grandmother to Deven, Siobhán, Kiera, Séamus, Sinéad, Marina, Taryn, Aidan, Bray, Finn, Lochlainn, Eavan, and Ronan, and a cherished great-grandmother to Jack and Fíona. Her Requiem Mass will be held at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, 330 W. Coral Gables Dr., Phoenix, AZ 85023, on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 1:30 pm, celebrated by Fr. John Cunningham, a dear family friend who will travel from Kiltimagh, Co. Mayo, Ireland. Following the Mass, family, and friends are invited to a reception at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Claire and Pat Cunningham. We will gather to share memories and celebrate Bridie's beautiful life. Bridie’s love, kindness, and music will live on in our hearts forever. Go dtabharfadh Dia síocháin di - May She Rest In Peace.
