Bryan was born in Cleveland, MS to Rev. Louis Milton Thornton (deceased) and Charlotte Thornton. He graduated from Independence High School, Independence, MS and enlisted in the Air Force. He was stationed in Phoenix, AZ, where he lived out his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 9 years, Marti; three daughters: Heather Starr (Joey), Nicole Thornton and Bryanna Thornton; two step daughters: Miranda Barry (Michael), and Amber Raver; and six grandchildren, all of the Phoenix area.
He is also survived by his mother, Charlotte Thornton, currently of Senatobia, MS and North Hills, CA and four siblings: Beverly Clark (Jim) of Chesterfield, VA, Anne Sutton (Noel) of Collierville, TN, Leigh Dunlap (Josh) of Hernando, MS and Doug Thornton (Jessica) of Senatobia, MS.
