Caden McKinley David Sarver, 13, passed away peacefully on the 30th of October 2020 in Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Caden was a victim of child abuse, but he fought a hard fight. He passed after his grandmother Donna Hoover, sister Audrey Sarver, and Cousin Kyra had the opportunity to say their goodbyes and send him to Heaven. A service to celebrate his life will be announced at a later date. Caden was cremated on the 11th of October at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary.
Caden was born on the 6th August 2007 in Phoenix, Arizona to Shannon Hursh and Paul Sarver. Caden had an uncanny ability to connect to people – he was a light that shone the brightest in any room. He is survived by sister Audrey Sarver, Grandmother Donna Hoover, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved dog Loki.
Caden’s family would like to thank the generous community and family for the donations, love, and support following his passing. A special thank you to Pamela Brown for organizing a Go-Fund Me page to collect said donations.
The video games that Caden played were an escape from reality, the family who loved him was a shelter from the storm, and the friends who stuck by his side will carry on his legacy forever. His family would also like to note that Caden is a hero, even in death. Caden was an organ donor and only one day after his passing, saved 4 lives (3 children in Phoenix, Arizona, and one woman in California) – he will save many more as time passes. Caden lives on through his family, friends, and through those that he will save.
