Candelario "Lalo" Marquez

At the age of 2, he moved with his family to Glendale, Arizona, where he lived until his death on May 2, 2026.

He was married to Olga Fierro for 69 years. Who passed away 9 years ago. He is survived by his son, Larry Marquez (Sylvia), Cecilia Moreno (Frank), Gracie Marquez (Leonard, who is deceased) Mary Helen Estrella (Robert). He had nine grandchildren, Robert, Raquel, Elaine, David, Michelle, Jeff, Sophia, Antoinette and Alyssa. He was blessed with thirteen great grandchildren, Simon, Lorenzo, Roman, Natalia, Elias, Ella, Evander, Mateo, Kyree, Jayden, Devin, Marco and Nico.

Lalo is the last-man standing. His father, Manuel Marquez and his mother Guadalupe Salinas, four brothers, Estevan, Manuel, Nick, George and 2 sisters Socorro and Martha are waiting for him to join them.

Lalo worked as a migrant worker for many years. And then, as an inventory controller for Fisher Construction, Varner Construction and finally retired from the City of Phoenix in 1993.

A Rosary will be held at Saint Raphael Catholic Church, 5525 W. Acoma Dr., Glendale, AZ 85306, on May 14, 2026, from 10:40 am to 11:00 am, followed by Mass at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A Committal Service will take place at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, AZ 85301, on May 14, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
