2 years ago, I remember thinking, is the pain going to be this bad in 1 year, 2 years?  Unfortunately it is exactly the same.  Every picture of us we are holding each other and smiling. Miss you so much❤️

I was so sad to hear of Carl’s passing.  He was an amazing person and friend.   I am sorry for your loss Ray and Glen.  My kids remembered him as someone who was always there and acted as a dad to them when their own wasn’t there.  They were sad to hear the news - hoping he is at peace.  Anna

You never know how someone will touch your life. Carl was an integral part of our work life at 698 . I love his brutal but honest opinions on everything. He always had me laughing until I cried. When we needed a handyman, he was always there for the saving, and a smart comment , as you could Imagine. I am saddened that he has departed, and I am truly sorry for your loss. A great man has earned his beautiful wings! We love and miss you Carl ❤️

I am not surprised by all the wonderful experiences I've read here that my awesome baby brother Carl shared with his friends, coworkers and family. We shared a room together for 15 years growing up. He was always my go to guy when I was feeling down. His logical suggestions over the phone would always get me back on track, no matter where in the country I was calling from and no matter what the time difference was. He'd have me laughing before we hung up everytime. I was extremely shocked by his passing. He left my dad's house at 4pm on Feb 5th and said I'll see ya tomorrow Raisin at 11am so we can interview and hire one final caregiver for dad, so then I could get my butt back to work where I belonged.

I miss him everyday, I wish I would have realized how desperate he was feeling so that I could talk him back in off the ledge like he always had for me. I know your watching over me Carl and giving me the strength required to continue towards our goal of keeping dad in his own house until he passes away.  I will get that done for us and make you proud.

Carl was a great friend and former work buddy.  I always enjoyed his attention to small details that others might miss and his unique sense of humor.  We shared a lot of laughs and good times at Starbucks, cookouts at the house, birthday dinners, a few hockey games and restaurant get togethers.  There are only a few people in this crazy world  you can deeply connect with and Carl was one of them.  He left us way too soon and I will miss him.

Every time we were together we had the best time!  Carl, you were the person who made the gatherings a riot!  My memories of your fun  sense of humor,  Margaritas and ALWAYS  winning at Cribbage, will always be with me. The miles between us did not matter .  We were still able to take some great trips with you and Jacki.  I still wake up each morning and you are the first thought on my mind.   I loved you like a brother Carl.  You were a perfect husband for Jacki and a great addition to the Amato sibling cruise!  May You Rest In Peace with our Heavenly Father. 

I was always concerned about Carl's self-sabotaging devotion to the Detroit Lions, drinking hot cocoa (not coffer) on the weekends or wrapping his hoddie around his head in a Ted Kosinski like manner when he was cold. But I could never call into question his devotion to his wife, daughters, mom and dad, brothers, other family members, friends and coworkers.  He was proud of who he was and where he was in life, his heritage, his Michigan roots, his memory of singers, songs and lyrics and much more trivia, and his ability to make people laugh or feel good about themselves.  He was a keen observer of people and events around him but very rarely had anything negative to say.

I had an opportunity to know him earlier in life, but only became a friend in the past 3-4 years. That will be a regret in my life for some time to come. 

We have lost one of the great ones. You will be greatly missed. There was only one you. Just know we needed another angel. Till we see each other again my friend. 

Carl, I loved every moment I spent working with you. Carl brightened everyone’s day with his humor and friendly smile. I always appreciated his straight forward funny and sometimes painfully honest assessment of workplace circumstances, You left far too soon and will be  missed by all.

Oh Carl, where do I start. Words cannot describe the amount of sadness I have experienced over the last week since you’ve been gone and trying to go on like everything is normal. You came into my life at such a young age that I don’t remember a life without you in it. You made my mom so beyond happy. You were her soulmate and I thank you for making her so happy for so many years. I’ve been praying to God every night that you love your angel wings and are meeting all the rockstars you loved to listen to. It is so true that you never know how much you love someone until they are gone. Every time I drive by Popeyes chicken I am thinking of you, since that’s the last meal I ate with you. Every time I hear any rock song, I think of you. Any time I see a bald man, I think man I miss my “bald freak.” Reading all these posts does not surprise me at all. You were so loved, and always will be. I don’t know a single person who was your enemy. You were a great man, wonderful  husband, and the best step dad I could ask for. Reagan will always have the photos I took of her and her Grandpa C. May you love Heaven and be with us in spirit until we meet again.

Oh Carl, what a joy it was to have you in our ISS team . We were a  family . Your sense of humor and big smile always helped us get thru the rough times and there were many . I am so saddened you had to leave way too early. My heart breaks.  I pray for strength for your family, friends and our ISS family to help with the loss . Rest In Peace  now and know  how much you are loved and will be missed. 


I have fond memories of growing up with my cousin Carl and his brothers in the Detroit area.  My brothers and I shared so much laughter with you.   It’s difficult to imagine that you have passed away.   I will always pray for you—that He who created you and welcomed you into the family of God at your Baptism will grant you Eternal Rest.  I love you, Carl, and I’m missing you already.  

Cousin Balky to me, Arizona Dad to Jillian, you are so beloved and just a pleasure to be around...we miss you so much buddy. Still shocked you are gone. We love you.  

Carl was the first person I met when I was a new employee at Fry's 698. We were locker neighbor--He had Locker 1 and I have 2. A sweet faithful guy who was always ready to show me how to get something done. His ready smile and kind heart always brought joy. He is sorely missed by all at 698. My heart goes out to his family and I pray you will be comforted in your loss. God bless.

Carl was a  current coworker and a great guy. Always fun to be around. He will be missed greatly at Fry's #698. Our heart goes out to the family. We are so sorry for your loss way too soon. 

Karen and I are  very  saddened by the news of Carl’s  passing.  I have known Carl for many years. Our friendship started thirty years ago when we played softball together on a team of mainly Frys employees. Carl was a very good pitcher and teammate. We ended up working at a couple-of Frys stores together and had a few fun filled  poker nights at Carl’s house with friends. 
 Nothing but good memories of you my friend! May God rest your soul and bring peace and comfort to your family. See ya up in softball heaven.

Carl and hi family have been life long friends. My heart and prayers go  out to the family. I knew him from are baby and there are so many experiences in life. He is the one to get my brothers on with Fry's. Carl you will be missed

I worked with Carl back in the late 80's and early 90's at my first store with Fy's . He was a funny and great guy . He was always smiling.  He was also at my wedding during that time as well. So sorry for your loss . He left this earth way too early.  He will be missed.
