He grew up in Mexico and was there until he was 23 years old.
In 1980, he married Marsha and together they raised five children. They travelled back and forth to Hermosillo often.
Another favorite trip the family took was to the beach. The children grew, as they do, and now look back at how much they cherish the holidays that they spent with their parents. Growing up, if they wanted something, they would ask Mom to “ask Dad for us” and Mom would reply, “YOU go ask him. He always listens to you”.
He worked for a time at the Gadsden Hotel in Douglas, AZ. and at the Cochise Hospital. But, his passion was for remodeling cars. He was a talented mechanic.
Carlos Andres was very healthy and proud of being able to stay in great shape. He worked out and would run several miles a day. Marsha remembers a time that she was sitting on the hood of their car, eating a hamburger and fries…and watching him run around the park. He would ask his grown children, “Are you going to the gym?” While he asked his children if they were going to the gym, he would also bring concha’s and cafecito.
Carlos Andres gave his children the best hugs. They could feel how much he loved them. In his phone calls, he would say, “Good morning! Have a good day! I love you!” He was a happy and positive man.
He was very particular about his cologne. He smelled good all the time and he had a great sense of humor. He was kind hearted. No one remembers him ever being angry.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Patricia.
He is survived by his former spouse, five children, thirteen grandchildren, and many friends. Also left to mourn his passing are his siblings Lupe, Javier, Talo, Martin, Victor, Isabella, Yoyi, Bette and twins Sandra and Imelda.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27 beginning at 12:30 P.M. at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N. 27th Ave. Phoenix. There will be a service at 3 PM with the Deacon Jim Cascio officiating. Visitation will continue until 4:30 P.M.
