Carmen Ruiz Chavez

Carmen Ruiz Chavez passed away on December 06, 2017 at the age of 91 years old in Phoenix, Arizona. Carmen was born to Joseph I. Ruiz and Rogeria Ortega Ruiz on August 24, 1926 in Tucson, Arizona. Carmen earned her High School Diploma. Carmen married the love of her life Jose R. Chavez. Carmen was a homemaker and was a long time member of the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She had a passion for crossword puzzles, loved babies, and making Rosary's. There was never a dull moment with Carmen. She loved entertaining her family every opportunity that was given to her. She loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and she would treasure family gatherings more than anything. Carmen was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Jose R. Chavez from Phoenix, Arizona, her Children; Anna DeLoen (Louie) from Glendale, Arizona, Emily Chavez from Phoenix, Arizona, Richard (Rumiko) Chavez from Leander Texas, Jaime (Michelle) Chavez from Glendale, Arizona, Steven (Robyn) Chavez from Aurora, Colorado, Veronica (David) Wright from Germany. Carmen has 15 Grandsons, 17 Granddaughters, 13 Great Grandsons, 11 Great Granddaughter, 4 siblings, Joseph I. Ruiz Jr., Victor Ruiz, Augustine Ruiz, Claudia Chagolla, many nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph I. Ruiz, Rogeria Ortega Ruiz and her Sister Mercedes (Don) Cisneros. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 5:00 PM - 9:00PM at Green Acres Mortuary 5830 W. Missouri Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85301 with a Rosary service from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM following the Funeral Service on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at The Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:00am, Graveside Service at Holy Cross Cemetery 10045 W. Thomas Road, Avondale, Arizona 85323.
