Would have loved to be there for the memorial but understand in these times it’s not possible.. my sincerest condolences to all friends and family !

Carol, you are truly missed!  Sharing your poem one last time for all the world to remember you and say good-bye.
                                        
                                   Ode to Carol James
My nominee for Employee of the Month should come as no surprise, because “exceeding expectations” most definitely applies.

You either hate her or you love her but one thing you can’t deny -- She’s a hard working employee with receipts at an all time high.

Her acerbic wit is diabolical; pugnacity is her middle name.
Being the Destroyer of Rejects and Stupidity is her main claim to fame.

People tremble in her wake because she’s outspoken and astute.
But behind that gruff exterior she’s seriously a hoot.

Just keep in mind her bark is worse than her bite
but pity the claims rep who puts up a fight.

A little respect and appreciation she especially deserves,
since her extra efforts are stressing out her curves.

Her client is doing well and almost always meets its goal,
That’s mainly due to Carol having everything under control.

DRS will never be the same.

My dear Carol,
It's April 17th and we are still in shock over your death. Lynn & Lisa two of our patients shared with me how helpful you were with their accounts. When we talk about you at work, and we often do, we remember so many funny times. It is hard to imagine your not going to be at our yearly Appreciation Party, or come  in the SVAC office on a Thursday for a  meeting with Georgie, or sitting in Brittany's office working on the Braces, or asking me to schedule you for something or your needing your blood pressure taken. I called you "little person" and you would smile at me and that said it was ok with you. My last conversation with you was that Thursday before you passed.  It's funny or maybe it's sad that you try and remember the last words you may have said to each other. I'm not sure what they were. The one thing I am sure of is you knew that we loved you and enjoyed your being part of our SVAC family. 
Rest in peace my friend and thank you for your hard work and  friendship.

Carol, I will miss your spiciness and you talking to yourself. You made my Thursdays. It will not be the same without you, ever... our laughs and our conversations- Boy did we laugh did we not! Thank you for being apart of my work life and being such a Beautiful and Awesome person. Go Eagles!!

A. Carol, you were like a second mom to us. Have many good memories, thx for your love. We used to go to Manzanita & watch the races. My aunt always wanted to be a race car driver. Love, Laurie

"Carol I'm not done talking" ……….as she'd walk away. and down the hall she'd yell at me (sometimes)  "but I am" and giggle.

First memory of her, when I first met her in 2016. I say "oh I just want to hug you and squeeze you" …….. 'you ain't got what I need in order to touch me" and laughs.

I didn't say it enough, but I loved her and her wham bam thank you ma'am kind of attitude. 

I have worked with Carol since 2013. She was always genuine and I really liked her and will miss her especially when she would get on a roll with the insurance company's.  She had a great sense of humor.  Will be so missed.
