OBITUARY
Carol Jean McWatters
February 1, 1934 – January 14, 2022

IN THE CARE OF
Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary
There aren’t enough adjectives to describe Carol. She had the amazing gift of making you feel right at home whenever she was around. Whether with a home cooked meal, a homemade pie, or a beautiful salad, topped with her perfectly diced tomatoes. The kitchen was one of her favorite places to be. Making things for the people she loved. Anyone lucky enough to have known Carol, is also lucky enough to have been fed by her.
Her three greatest loves were Jesus, her husband Ray, and her family. She loved to have family and friends over to entertain and play games like Scrabble and Dominoes. Fun fact, she has a trophy for winning a horseshoe contest. She loved cooking, baking, camping and traveling to visit family.
Carol always took pride in everything she did, both personal and professionally. To this day, many of her former employees state that she was the best boss they ever had.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merton Ray McWatters.
Carol is survived by her children, Pat Banks (Ed), Carolyn Yvonne Speer (Mark), Joy Dawn Mason, and Vickie Gayle McWatters; grandchildren, David Mason (Elisha), Lanie Faust-Scherberger (Greg), Nathan Faust (Kallie), Matthew Mason (Katie), Tara Piepenbrock; and her great-grandchildren, Reagan Faust, Katelyn Faust, Ella Mason, Caleb Faust, Waylon Mason, Conner Faust, Monroe Scherberger, Nixon Scherberger, Haggard Mason, Ellie Mason, and Ford Mason.
Services for Carol will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85027. Viewing begins at 11:00am, followed by a chapel service at 12:00pm, and graveside at 1:00pm.
