Carol Ann Williams passed away on February 16, 2024, at 67. She fought a good battle for years with various illnesses and never really complained. It was the pneumonia and COVID that exhausted her so much that she no longer had the strength to fight anymore. Our family is deeply saddened, but we realize she is finally at peace.
Carol was born on March 26, 1956, in Miami, Florida. She was the 3rd of six children of Lawrence Garvy and Gloria Dussault. Carol spent her early years in Omaha, Nebraska, where she met her husband, and then they relocated to Phoenix, Arizona. She loved children, and she and her husband took it upon themselves to raise their niece, Aubri.
Carol lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: chatting with friends and family, and cheering on Aubri. As an aunt, she enjoyed playing games and dancing with her nieces and nephews when they were young. Carol also loved animals- especially cats (KJ was her favorite) and dogs. She was a server for many years, then became a manager at various restaurants as well. She thrived in her career and enjoyed meeting so many people who became her friends. She also loved to travel and was quite adventurous. She enjoyed her family adventures to Mexico, Hawaii, Palm Springs, and the Bahamas. Carol’s most enjoyable times were spent at the horse races with her husband, Keith. She would bet and route for her favorite horses. She planned her spring and summer around those horse races.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, Keith Williams; niece, Aubri Garvy; sisters, Nancy Randle and Debbie Nagel; brother, Rick Garvy; Brother in laws John Randle and Chris Nagel; nieces and nephews: DJ Doty (wife- Karla), Jason Doty (Wife- Jacque), Jennifer McConnell (husband- Steven), Jackie Nagel, John Nagel, Lindsay Garvy, Ashley Garvy, Christopher Garvy and grand nieces and nephews: Jordan, Carly, Carson, Landen, and Logan Doty, Savannah Garvy and Levi Mestas, Elizabeth McConnell, Hunter, Dax and Talia Doty. Carol is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Garvy; mother, Gloria Dussault; brother, Lawrence Garvy Jr.; and brother, Donald Garvy.
Carol will be remembered for all the heart she shared with her friends and family. She truly loved each of them- and if you knew her, you knew it. When her time came, she carried herself with dignity, strength, and full of love. She will be missed dearly.
