

Caroline Coronado 78, born June 18, 1936 in Flagstaff, AZ to Fred and Nancy Ornelas passed away with family and friends at her side on Saturday, February 28th. Caroline was known by her friends as a passionate neighborhood, civic and political activist serving as a member of the Vesta Club, P.T. Coe Youth Athletic Club, President of the Isaac School Board, board member of the Cactus Wren Republican Women's Club, Trunk and Tusk Republican Fundraising Committee, and a Republican State and Precinct Committee member. Caroline's professional accomplishments included longtime Realtor, administrative positions with the Arizona Corporation Commission working for Commissioners Ernest Garfield and Russ Williams and was a congressional aide to U.S. Congressman John J. Rhodes.
Caroline's passion centered around her family and grandchildren and her vacation stays on Coronado Island. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Ruben, of 45 years and brother Robert. She is survived by her children Alice/ Joe, Deborah/ Junior, Mark/Cindy Richard,Tommy, and grandchildren Ruben, Jackie, Matthew, Cornelius, Robert, Mark, Dominique, Erika and Austin and great-grandchildren Jonathan, Jacob, Nathan, Alyssa , Jay, Bri & Brandyn. Caroline is also survived by her brothers and sisters Fred, Sylvester, Molly, Polly, Dolly, Nita, Kathy and many nieces, nephews, and extended friends.
A memorial service will be held Monday March 9th @ 11:00 am @ San Raphael's Parish, 5525 W. Acoma, Glendale, AZ, 85306. In lieu of flowers, Caroline had requested that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley.
