Born in New York, New York, Carolyn gained national recognition as an original member of the American pop and doo-wop group, The Brooklyn Bridge. The band achieved widespread success with its million-selling hit “The Worst That Could Happen” and became known for its powerful harmonies and dynamic live performances. During her time with the group, she toured nationally and contributed to the band’s early recordings and stage presence. After her years in music, Carolyn later settled in Phoenix, Arizona, where she remained close to family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Imbrie, and her brother, Robert Wood, along with many who remember her life and contributions to music with appreciation and affection.
A Celebration of Life will be held at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, located at 710 W Bethany Home Road, Phoenix, AZ, 85013. The service is scheduled for February 14, 2026, starting at 11:00 am.
