Carrol Jay Wilcoxson, age 82 of Phoenix, Arizona passed away June 29, 2020 at Artemis Adult Care Home in Phoenix, Arizona. There will be a celebration of life at a later date for Carrol and Henrietta Wilcoxson.
Carrol was born on August 24, 1937 in Red Cloud, Nebraska to Harold and Mildred (Boyce) Wilcoxson. On April 14, 1958 he married Henrietta Fisher in Concordia, Kansas. To this union they were blessed with six kids, Donald Jay, Ronald Ray, Ricky Joe, Vickie Sue, Bradley Lynn and Brenda Lou.
The couple made their home in Kansas, where Carrol worked construction and at a service station. Then they moved to Nebraska where he worked at Mystery Oil in Kearny and Ryan’s Conoco in Shelton, then they moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he worked at Honeywell and at L.E.S.S. until he retired.
Carrol loved spending time with family, camping, telling jokes and pulling pranks, telling old family stories and NASCAR! Family was so important to him, he loved his kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
Left to cherish him is his daughters Vickie (Kent) Plautz of Shelton and Brenda (Bret) Bowdish of Glendale, Arizona, 12 grandkids and 20 great grandkids. Brother Jerome(Mary Lou) and sister Sandra (Ron) Patee all of Salina, Kansas. Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law, Lester and Gloria Eigisti of Indiana, Anna Roadhouse and Carol Crocker of Illinois and Eleanor Hackerott of Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta Wilcoxson who passed away May 26, 2020, three of his sons, Ricky, Brad and Ron; his parents and his in-laws; brothers-in-law, Charlie, Charles, Jim and Milton, sister-in-law Rosella, a niece and four nephews.
