Chad David Askren

Chad David Askren was born on September 15, 1981 in Salmon, Idaho and went to heaven on August 31, 2012. Chad lived most of his adult life on or around Prince of Wales Island in SE Alaska with his parents Bruce and Paula, and his sister, Nichelle. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and being with his friends.

After graduating from Klawock High School in Klawock, AK Chad lived for a short time in Oregon before joining his parents and sister in Phoenix, AZ where he lived for the past 5 ½ years. Chad fell in love with Dee Amen and together they resided in Maricopa, AZ.

Chad was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Askren; living are his mother, Paula Askren and sister, Nichelle Askren of Phoenix, AZ; grandparents William and Betty Reading of South Charleston, WV; aunt and uncle R. J. and Brenda Hamilton, of Oklahoma City, OK; cousins, Stephanie Schneider, of Hill Air Force Base, UT and Sarah Piper of Erie, PA. Chad forged amazing friendships in his life while living and working in Alaska, Oregon and Arizona. He is deeply missed by those he chose to be is friend.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Mortuary 710 West Bethany Home Road Phoenix, AZ 85013.
