

Charles (Charlie) Wilson Hurt, 75, of Phoenix, Arizona went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Charles was born in Aurora, Indiana, to Mary E Hurt (Wray) and Homer L Hurt on January 26, 1943.
He moved to Phoenix, Arizona when he was 4 years old, and graduated from West High School in Phoenix, Arizona in 1961. While he as at West High School he played football and baseball.
He married Sandra Sue (Marshall) Hurt on October 29, 1966. He loved her very much, and they were getting ready to celebrate their 52nd wedding anniversary.
He loved bowling, golfing with his friends, and has many trophies from horseshoe tournaments. He loved his Arizona Diamondbacks. He also loved keeping the basketball record books for Grace Christian School. He loved reading his Bible and reading books that helped him grow in the Lord.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Sue (Marshall) Hurt, and his two daughters, Deborah Hurt, of Glendale, Arizona, and Tammy Hurt, of Phoenix, Arizona. He is also survived by his sister Mary Brown.
He was proceeded in death by his mother Mary E Wray, his father Homer L Hurt, and his sister Betty Hall.
A memorial service will be held at Sovereign Grace Bible Church, 2940 W. Bethany Home Road Phoenix, Arizona 85017, on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 4:00 pm. Food and fellowship will follow after the service. On Sunday, November 18, 2018, there will be an open house at the family home from 1 pm – 5:00 pm.
