

Precious "Mac" age 94, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on June 16, 2015 and was blessed to view the glory of the Lord and is touring the place prepared for him with the Creator. He is survived by his faithful, loving wife of 71 years, Isabel McMahel, his brother, Duane McMahel, his brother-in-law Joseph Peters and sister-in-law, Lourice George, and many nieces and nephews in an international family tree. He is preceded in this journey by two brothers, Alvin and Ermel McMahel, and one sister, Pauline Brand; along with his mother, Elsie Bennett McMahel and father, Noah McMahel. This young spirit, brought to life on February 12, 1921 in Paoli, Indiana was nurtured in horticulture farming and is the legacy of Godly and moral believers, truly training up their offspring in the fear, honor, hardworking admonition of a loving heavenly Father. "Mac" Charles Bruce McMahel was able to stand on his own and served the war effort in June of 1943 to August of 1945 and again in 1947 through 1951 on Liberty ships visiting over 11 different ports as well as the Great Lakes contributing as a Merchant Marine followed by service in the Army earning honorable discharges along with many awards. Many knew that Mac was very active in charity work, and prideful in his career as a stationary engineer. He was a man known for his jokes. Many may not know however, that he was a very accomplished poet and enjoyed writing very much. This great man will be truly and dearly missed by all who's lives were touched by him.
