Charles "Chuck" Marvin Norwood

Charles is predeceased by his parents, Edmund and Cornelia Norwood, his brother, Park Norwood, his sisters, Marion and Twee, and his beloved wife, Eleanor Norwood.

Charles is survived by his daughter, Janet Scarpelli, his son, Dennis Norwood, his grandchildren, Gregory Norwood, Allison Norwood, Stephanie Garvin, Taylor Scarpelli, and Lauren Buhnerkempe, and his great grandchildren, William and Samuel Garvin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews who will greatly miss him.

Charles was born in Marion, South Carolina on November 29, 1926. He served with honor and distinction in the United States Marine Corps during World War II, as well as the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After retiring from the Marine Corps, he embarked on a second career as the Mailroom Manager at the Arizona Republic Newspaper.

Charles also loved to participate in car rallies, and he won several awards while training his beloved Cocker Spaniels in AKC Obedience Trials.
