Charlie was born on January 10, 1929 in Flora, Mississippi, to John and Thelma (Burt) Snider. He spent part of his childhood in Mississippi before relocating to Missouri. He was a 1947 graduate of Webster Groves High School in Missouri. Charlie served in the U. S. Navy. In 1949 he wed Dorothy (Dotty) Curson and they resided in Kirkwood, MO for over 30 years. He was employed by Laclede Gas during this time. In 1983, Charlie and Dotty relocated to Apache Wells in Mesa, AZ where he resided for over 37 years. He enjoyed square dancing, round dancing, camping, boating, hiking, RV travel and small aircraft assembly.
Preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Susan, and sister Carmen. Survivors include daughter Sandra (Martin) Paydo, granddaughter Stacy Paydo, brother in law William (Carol) Curson, son in law Charles Hawk, brother Stanley (Mary) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Internment at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
The family requests donations be made in Charles name to Sunshine Acres Children’s Home in Mesa, AZ. Arrangements entrusted to Advantage Maryvale Mortuary.
