Charles William Tennant

Charles W. Tennant, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, February 10th, 2021 in Phoenix, AZ. He was born on December 19th, 1940 near Morgantown, WV. His siblings knew him as Sonny. He served his country in the armed forces after high school from 1959 - 1961. Afterwards, he worked with his close cousins Sam and David in Chicago, IL and later, he moved to Phoenix, AZ and began his career at Phoenix Transit System. He married his wife Herminia in 1987 and raised 4 children. He was a devout Christian and beloved and active member of his church community, often playing guitar and singing in the church band. He was kind, generous, funny, and unconditionally loving, with an endearing ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. He is survived by his wife Herminia and their children Olimpo, Isidro, Anthony, and Linda, and their grandchildren Samuel, Naomi, Monica, Siriah, and Hilario, as well as his siblings Debbie, Danny, Judy, Ron, and Dot. Charlie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
