

She was born on October 21, 1950, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Harry and Bobbye Jean “Penny” Frandsen. She graduated from West High School in 1968, where she was honored as the Military Queen. Alongside her late sister Karen, Christi also earned the title of Junior State Golf Champion in Arizona.
Christi married her first husband, Greg Lumm, in 1969. Their marriage brought her two greatest blessings, her children, Cary and Sabrina.
She carried a lifelong love for golf and became well known at Moon Valley Country Club for playing proudly shoeless. Later in life, Christi met the love of her life, Robert Workman, and they were married on July 10, 1982. Together, they built 27 beloved years of travel, adventure, boating, camping, and family traditions until Robert’s untimely passing in August 2009.
Christi is survived by her son Cary (Cindy) Lumm and their four children Damiem, Dorian, Dylan, and Dezray, and her great-grandson, Alexander Eaves, as well as her daughter Sabrina (Thomas) Grader and her children Carter and Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert Workman, her parents Harry and Penny Frandsen, her siblings Clifford and Karen Frandsen Ware, and her cherished grandson Jackson Grader.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N 27th Ave, Phoenix, Arizona. Christi was deeply loved and will be greatly missed, carried forward forever in the stories, laughter, and hearts of her family.
