Although she had many interests and passions in life, one of the most important things to know about Christina is that she had a light and energy that drew people to her. To know Christina is to love her. She loved Xena the Warrior Princess as a child and her sweater that she lined with croqueted crosses, that the church handed out, until there was simply no more space to pin on any more. As she grew up, she loved the ocean and cities by the sea, being on the go, lounging, reading, lord of the rings, supernatural, she was fashionable, she was real, she always took people as they came. She was an advocate. There were so many dimensions to her.
She is preceded by the dogs that she brought into her family and other people’s lives, Ares, Ninja, and Henry. She is survived by her mother Francisca, her father John, her sisters Audie, April, and Vanessa, her brother Anthony, her nieces and nephews Brittany, Robert, Adrianna, Caroline, Randi, and JP, as well as her aunts and uncles, great nephews, a grandparent and too many other people to name. In the words of one of Christina’s first tattoo’s, from one of her favorite books: “It’s a sin to kill a mockingbird.” Her family and friends grieve her loss. We carry her with us in our hearts until our last breaths and beyond. All our love, and deep gratitude for the time we had with her.
We will honor Christina on Saturday, July 20 at 1:00 at A.L. Mortuaries, Bethany Chapel, 710 W. Bethany Home Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85013.
