

Cynthia was an alumnus of Arizona State University, Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, and was a cherished lifelong sister of Pi Beta Phi (ΠΒΦ) – the ASU founding Chapter. She was also an avid reader, and prolific published author of poetry and works of fiction. Cynthia was a devoted wife and mother whose personal passions were creativity, humor, intellectual pursuits, a refined etiquette and enthusiasm which she bestowed upon all who knew her.
Cynthia was born to Jayne and Virgil Jones in Phoenix, Arizona, as was her younger sister, Denise Jones (Emery). She is survived by her loving husband Eric Trenton Liebi (Phoenix, Arizona), and her two sons Heath Alexander Liebi (Phoenix, Arizona) and Adam Colburn Liebi (Ventura, California). Cynthia also loved her granddaughter, Margaux Violet Liebi (Ventura, California), and daughter in- law- Jula Rose Bell-Liebi (Ventura, California). Her family wishes to acknowledge the help and love her family and friends provided her, as well as the gravity of the loss of Cynthia to the community.
A memorial service honoring Cynthia’s life is tentatively scheduled by the Liebi family on November 19th at the Japanese Friendship Garden in Phoenix, AZ. Invitations will be sent separately by Cynthia’s sons.
