

Dallas Stanley Moore 75, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather made his journey to meet our Heavenly Father on June 29, 2011. He died peacefully at a local hospital surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in St Joseph, Missouri to Dallas and Ruth Moore. He graduated from Central High School and in 1954 married his high school sweetheart, Katy (Kay Benson) Moore, who survives him. Their 57 years of marriage blessed them with two children, Professor Darby Heath (P.J. Heiden), and Pastor Rob Moore (Robin), who survive him. He is the proud grandfather of six grandchildren, Hayle Heath (Erik) Knight, Mallory Heath, Jordon Dallas Moore, Morgan Moore, Madison Moore and Jeremiah Moore and three great granddaughters, Jenna, Kelsey and Lily (due in August) Knight, all of whom survive him. He is also survived by three sister-in-laws and their husbands, nieces and nephews and a special cousin and his wife by marriage. He served in the Missouri Air National Guard. He moved his family to Phoenix in 1964 and became well known in the Valley being affiliated with both O'Malley Building Materials, Scottsdale Branch and Ray Lumber Company, Sales Contracting Division during his career days. He left a legacy of being a true War Horse, diligently fighting Heart and Kidney Disease for the past several years. His parents, a sister-in-law and an infant son, Jeffery Steven preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held at 1:30PM on Sunday July 10, 2011 at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E Greenway Rd. Phoenix.
