Damon Dale Gibson, 66, passed away on July 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, hard work, generosity, and unconditional love.
A longtime resident of Yuma, Arizona, Damon spent most of his life using his incredible craftsmanship to repair, improve, and build additions to homes. There was very little he couldn’t fix or create with his hands. Whether it was a home improvement project, a custom-built addition, or helping someone with a repair, Damon took pride in doing quality work and was known for his skill, attention to detail, and willingness to lend a helping hand.
When he wasn’t working with his hands, Damon found peace in God’s creation. He loved fishing, camping, and the quiet solitude of the outdoors. Those moments reflected his humble spirit and appreciation for life’s simple blessings.
Above all else, Damon was a devoted Christian whose faith guided every aspect of his life. He believed in serving others, living with integrity, and doing all things in the name of God. His kindness knew no bounds – he would truly give the shirt off his back to anyone in need, never expecting anything in return. His compassion, wisdom, and servant’s heart touched countless lives.
Damon’s greatest joy was his family. He is lovingly survived by his daughters, Jessica and Julie; his cherished granddaughters, Julia and Eliana; his brother Sam; and his sister, Connie. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who were blessed to know and love him.
Though his earthly journey has come to an end, his family finds comfort in knowing he is at peace in the presence of his Lord and Savior. His legacy of faith, generosity, craftsmanship, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Damon will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
