Darr, you have been and will be deeply missed. I was so sorry to hear of your untimely passing after being moved from your beautiful home in Phoenix to a residence in Peoria. Just last year we all agreed you still had a few good years ahead—what happened? Too many hard lessons came a bit too late. It’s comforting to know you’ve been reunited with your beloved son, Dennis, whose only wish was for you to be cared for. Now he can rest in peace knowing you’ll be treated with love and respect in heaven. You were a true class act—one of the first Playboy Bunnies at the Phoenix club when it opened in December 1962, a personal friend of Hugh Hefner, stylish, sophisticated, talented, business-savvy, and full of life. You loved to entertain, cooked and hosted beautifully, painted, went ballroom dancing, and embraced the finer things in life. It was an honor to know you, and I will never forget you. Rest in peace, Darr.

This is EJ ,or Einar Johnson , Carols partner . This a silk factory in Asia they went to see how fine silk was produced. Carol and EJ , like Darr, loved traveling and were very spontanious ,fun loving people. They were interesting people that really knew how to enjoy life.

This is Darr with a very close friend Carol Simpson prior to Carol’s death. Carol and her” significant other “ E.J. Had many happy memories together. Darr was a very popular and charming woman, as was her Mother Fran Uyeki. Looks and charm ran in the family .

This is a picture of Darr with her beloved son Dennis in 2023. He was healthy at this time and was still allowed to spend Sunday evenings with Darr  and  enjoy having dinner with her regularly.Unfortunately this changed within a year and he abruptly ailed and passed on before his mother.

I am blessed to have known & enjoyed Darr’s friendship over the past ten years. She was a classy lady with a big heart & too much tolerance. Darr didn’t hesitate to adopt two dogs that were loving & protective companions to her for many years. Darr’s son passed away before her. Afterward, she was separated from her dogs and relocated to the Peoria area, where she lived until her passing.   I will forever remember and miss my friend. Rest in peace Darr. You deserve it!
