David Lee Drew, 86, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on June 2, 2017. He was born on January 8, 1931 in Plainwell, MI. David was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean conflict during the early 1950’s. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Myrna Drew, his son, James Drew and family of Sugar Land, Texas, his foster daughter, Melanie Balmer and family of Mars, IA, his brother, John Drew and family of Laingsburg, MI, his brother, Joseph Drew and family of Munith MI, and his sister, Mary Wright and family of Munising, MI. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Smith Drew, and his father, Frank Drew, of Munith MI. David was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and camp. He volunteered his time in prison ministry for many years. His hobbies included gunsmithing, auto mechanics, carpentry, and reading. Services will be held on June 8, at 11 AM at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Rd. Phoenix, AZ.
