David J. Haas, 78, of Peoria, AZ, was born on March 13, 1934 and passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012. He is a retired Phoenix Police officer and Glendale Justice Court Constable. He is preceded in death by his parents Norman and Georgette Haas. Also preceding him is Joey Haas. He is survived by his wife, Karen J. Becker Hass, brother Eugene (Marsha), and Norman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Catholic Church, 5525 W. Acoma Rd. in Glendale. A mass will be held at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, 5526 W. Acoma Road, Glendale, Arizona at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. There will also be a reception at The Fraternal Order of Police, 12851 N. 19th Avenue, Phoenix. This will start following the Mass. Please visit to leave online condolences for the family.

Hi Karen, John Klettlinger here, You may remember the name. Dave and I worked pretty close a number of times during the time we spent on the dept..
Although we have gone our seperate ways after leaving the Department I never lost my sincere respect for the way Dave did his job..
