Today marks a year since we lost David. It’s still hard to believe he’s gone. It seems that every week I’ll see something and think that I should share that with David and then remember that I can’t. 

Alexis did a fantastic  job on David’s grave marker, I’m sure he would have loved it. Thank you again for all the work you did to give him a great send off. 

I miss my baby brother. If there is an afterlife I hope that he and Dad found a nice fishing spot. 

I love and miss you David.

You surprised me and zae with the tickets to the Christmas lights. You Bought us those lights that light up to the beat of the song. Laughed and joked the whole night. on the way home, you blasted smells like Teen Spirit by Nirvana cause we wanted to see the lights go crazy. Always made me smile. Miss your smile and laugh. Missing this, just wanted to share some of the precious memories I have with David so you all could see this amazing man and his smile.

He was happy he got the in memory patch for his dad a few days before he left us.

Hi Mister, I have no words to explain the loss I am feeling with you gone, you were the one person who was always there for me everyday rain or shine, good or bad, never ever missed a day of communication. I wish with all my heart that you were still here I know we would have done amazing things. I love you Mister David Jones and until the day we meet again I will hold you in my heart and remember the amazing and special man you were to me💔

I don’t know when this was taken but it does show David actually smiling which was rare to see in pictures.

This is the last picture I have of David. He was showing me the patch he added to his vest honoring Dad. 

This was from David’s 2nd trip to Spokane. We fished for walleye and camped on my pontoon boat on Lake Roosevelt (on the Columbia River). Note the couple of tiny tattoos and the brown beard. 

This is from David’s first trip to Spokane. Aside from the walleye fishing we toured around the countryside, up into Canada and out to see the laser light show at Grand Coulee Dam. Most memorable was Dad constantly complaining while we were driving through lush pine forests that he couldn’t see anything because of all the damn trees in the way.

This was from the same trip around Lake Pend Oreille. We were both a bit heavier then. 

I think this is the only picture I have of all the Jones boys together. This is from long ago taken in Dads kitchen on Richard’s birthday. From left to right is Richard, Steven, Darrell, David and Gerry. 

This was from David’s last visit to Spokane. It was around the 4th of July holiday. The water was too high to go fishing so we ventured all the way around Lake Pend Oreille. This was overlooking a dam on the Clark Fork River. We bought a great bunch of fireworks and had our own show on the 4th. 


I am so sorry to heat abour the loss of our cousin David, you will be missed . All my thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
