I will always miss you guys. You guys are family anytime I think about you guys. I get nothing but tears rolling down my cheeks I sure wish we can turn the time back, but that will never happen. May the Lord bless you and open the doors in heaven save me a spot. I’ll be there before you know it

I had the pleasure of working with David in the early 90s on swing shift we worked on the same crew for 4 years and then periodically after that. Those four years were the best of almost 30 that I worked with the city of Phoenix. My condolences to the family

This is not going to be your normal condolence. ..
I met my good friend Dave (Riv as my boys call him) while I was working @ Reservoir Yard. The 1st time I met Dave I had showed up early as usual and found a grey Ford pickup parked in my usual spot, thinkn nothing of it I got my stuff together and went inside where I found this guy sitting @ my desk looking at me and asked " Hey bro do u know where the key is to these lockers" I politely answered "yes I do, cause my bin key is here in my pocket as that is my desk...kinda the same as that space where that grey Ford is outside"...lol... he then explained to me in his always upbeat and supportive manner "xxit Cuh u havn't been there long enough to have xxit!" along w his contagious laugh. We Immediately became friends and desk neighbors for the next 5 years til he retired and we continued a very good friendship! And although the next day he settled into someone else's spot on the east facing spaces so I could have mine back I had to wait for his retirement to get my desk back....

I will deeply miss my friend Dave "Riv"!!

Our Hearts and Prayers go out to the Rivera family.

I would like to send my deepest condolences an prayers to the Rivera Family. I grew up with David threw grade school an high school he was one of those good an cool guys. Over all we had some good an fun times growing up. Rest in peace my brother. 🙏

David, thank you for everything you did for me while growing up together from Elementary through High school. Thank you for all the laughs and memories that we had with the rest of our friends and family. I will always carry those memories and you in my heart. Prayers for David and may God bless his family. Love you David.

Anyone who met Dave immediately liked him mostly do to his VERY outgoing personality and his exceptional level of professionalism.

Dave was an avid Hunter and Fisher who never passed on an opportunity to go do either no matter whether it was going for a week away w family and freinds or takeing his poles to work w him and dropping in a line "during lunch" of coarse..

I always remember Dave being supportive and informative to all the staff in water services, whether u were new or had been there a while u could always count on Daves words of encouragement to get you thru the day. I have really fond memories of when I 1st came to Reservoir Yard and Dave was showing me the ins and outs of all the paperwork and computer work we had to do daily, one particular way I specifically remember was " I didn't know we had to do that"...lol... followed by his over powering laugh!!!

Be cool buddy and don't change just cause your up there!!

" GONE FISHING"

Sorry to hear of your loss. David was good friends with my brother, Richard. I hope Richard was waiting for him at the gate. He had a lot of stories always from when they hung around. May God rest his soul.

Miss you everyday little Bro.
