David Duran Vega passed away at the age of 62, on March 21, 2019 in Tolleson, Arizona. He was born to Marcelino Castro Vega and Juanita Flores Duran on July 29, 1956 in Glendale, Arizona. David enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1975 and attained the rank of USAF RegAF - AMN. He was proud to serve his country. David received his degree in Technology from DeVry Institute of Technology. He was extremely pleased when receiving his Certificate of Outstanding Scholastic Achievement for Fundamentals of Electronics. David then began his employment with Philips as a product Development Engineer, where he worked with Ultrasound Medical Systems. David married the love of his life, Olga Vega (Aviles). He was a fun man, who was always smiling. He enjoyed riding and loved his Indian Trike and his Harley Bike. He was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders, Indian Motorcycle Riders and the Renegade Riders group. David was a hard working person. In his spare time, he would do some woodwork and he collected beer steins. David also enjoyed watching movies and collected them as well (especially cheesy Sci-Fi). He absolutely adored his Chihuahua dogs Quila and Dido. David would get out whenever he could. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. His family meant the world to him and he would treasure family gatherings more than anything. David was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and friend. Family and friends will miss him dearly. David preceded in death by his father, Marcelino Castro Vega. He is survived by his wife Olga Vega – Tolleson, Arizona, 1 daughter Priscilla Aviles - Tolleson, Arizona, mother Jennie Vega – Peoria, Arizona, 1 brother Robert Vega – Phoenix, Arizona, 2 sisters Esther Thomas and Cynthia Vega-Serrano – Phoenix, Arizona, 6 nieces and 8 nephews as well as many other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, April 12, 2019 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm with the Memorial Service at 11:00 am at Funeraria del Angel Greer Wilson Chapel 5921 W. Thomas Road, Phoenix, AZ 85033. Following the Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm, Committal Service with Military Honors at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 W. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85023.
