Dorothy was born Tridelphia, W. VA and raised her family in Ohio before moving to Arizona, where she passed away peacefully. She was preceeded in death by her husband Robert G. Franklin Sr., her mother, Dorothy Mae (Davison) Russell and father, James M. Russell, her sister Lillian (Russell) Dillingham and brothers, James and Raymond Russell.
Dorothy was a Housewife and worked for Norwalk Trucklines, Fanny Farmer Candies, General Industries and Landmark Eggs. She helped raise three generations of family: her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dorothy leaves behind her three sons, Robert, Ronald, and Rodney Franklin, her step-daughter, Robin (Franklin) Boice, twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy will be buried next to her husband in Meadow Green Cemetery in Huron Ohio.
