

Dorothy Ng passed away peacefully at home on July 15, 2025 at age 99. She was born March 7, 1926 in Stockton, California to Chuck Yuen Lew and Hom Shee Lew with the Chinese name, Lew Ngok Heong. She returned to Toisan China in 1930 with her parents and siblings, returning to New York City in 1950 after she married Hin Fang Ng in 1948. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Hin Fang “Richard” Ng and sons Jimmy Ng and Jerry Ng (Dorothy Rund) and son-in-law, Nelson Wong (Lucy). She is survived by daughters Lily Harding and Lucy Wong, son Frank Ng, daughter-in-law Dorothy Rund Ng, and grandchildren Eric Harding (wife Erin), Kelly Leong (husband Aiden), Edwin James Ng, Danielle Ng, Katie Ng and great grand daughter Emma Leong. Dorothy and Hin Fang moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1951 and was in the Phoenix grocery business together for 27 years operating Richard’s Market (1953-1967) and Westward Market (1968-1981). In retirement Dorothy enjoyed getting together with her many friends, attended English language school, maintained a large vegetable garden and loved to cook and bake for family and friends. She and Hin Fang loved to spend time with family at holidays and special events, traveling many places with the children and grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, located at 719 North 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ, 85009, on August 8, 2025, from 9:30 am to 10:00 am.
A memorial service will follow at the same location at 10:00 am.
