

Dorothy (Dotty) Snider, age 85, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on March 5, 2015. Dorothy was born on June 13, 1929 in Granite City, Illinois, to Elmer and Myrtle Curson. She was raised in and graduated from High School in Webster Groves, Missouri.
Dorothy enjoyed a successful career as a computer programmer. She also enjoyed square dancing, round dancing, cooking, shopping, card games (bridge), camping, boating, traveling, swimming, sewing, knitting and spending time with her family, friends, and Red Hat Club. She was also an active member of the Apache Wells Community Church.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Susan, step-father Dick Selbert and step-mother Rosa Curson.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charles Snider, daughter Sandra (Marty) Paydo of Tempe, AZ, granddaughter Stacy Paydo of Van Nuys, CA, brother William (Carol) Curson of Kirkwood, MO, aunt Katie Huffman of Little Rock, AR, son-in-law Charles Hawk of Prescott, AZ, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private family services will be held at a later date, with interment at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
In lieu of flowers, the Snider family requests that donations be made in Dotty’s name to Hospice of the Valley or to a charity of your choice.
