
Mr. Rogers was the first born of seven children to Jasper Jason and Madred Ellen Rogers.
After graduating from High School in Duncan, he served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. After service to his country, he acquired a degree in Chemistry and Economics from Metropolitan State University of Denver. He served as a drilling superintendent for Vintage Petroleum, a position he held for two decades. He was noted for managing drilling and production projects in Yemen, Trinidad, Indonesia, and the U.S. A reward for his hard work was when he received the Environmental Award from the New Mexico Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department. He had over 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He was owner and president of Petromanus since the year 2000, continuing to perpetuate success by using his expertise of overseeing all daily business operations of the company.
Survivors include his wife, Emily V. Rogers of Carlsbad, NM, daughters, Stacie Packard (Bill) of Colorado, and Rose Flores, of Carlsbad, NM. Sons, Joel Flores (Cathy), and Eric Flores of Carlsbad, NM. His beloved grandchildren: Hallie and Ryan Packard of Colorado and Nevaeh Vasquez of Carlsbad, NM. Siblings: Mary Lou Woody, Denise Seay, Patricia Van der Breggen (Albert), and Michael Rogers, all of Duncan, OK, and Keith Rogers (Stacy) of Tuttle, OK.
Dorsey was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Aaron, and by his father and mother in-law, Emilio and Pauline Villa.
