Dr. Helen Louise Macey

Born September 8th 1974, Helen emigrated with her family from London, England to Arizona in July 1978. Quickly adjusting to her new surroundings she made many friends throughout her school years obtaining her diploma from Mesa High School in 1992. She attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff graduating with several degrees in 1997. While in college she was an active member of AOTT sorority along with volunteering for several organizations including Hospice and Flagstaff Medical Center.

Helen was accepted into the University of Arizona College of Medicine -Tucson in 1999. Continuing her studies in Tucson she chose to specialize in Psychiatry and later as a faculty member helped lead others in the Department of Psychiatry residency training program.

Helen is survived by her mother Pamela Mason, father Roger Macey, sister Nicola Macey, stepsisters Camille Gittens and Lauren Young, stepmother Kristin Macey, stepfather Larry Mason and boyfriend Jeremy Bohnsack. She leaves behind numerous friends, colleagues and patients and is deeply missed by all.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, May 2nd at 10:30 am at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 2310 North 56th Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85008.
