During these last years with Dad, we have had many great family times… going out to eat together, visiting over tea.  We enjoyed many hikes in Estes Park where we met each year at their summer cabin.   
Dad was a great nspiration to his family and his memory will live on in our hearts forever.

Edd was my grandfather and he was so nice to us. I wish I could have been there to say good bye and I love you. But now I know he is much better in heaven

Dear Shapley family, may God grant you the peace that passes all understanding!  Know that he is with our Father in Heaven. I remember as teenagers, Eddie, Doug and I took the Firebird out cruising the strip in Cheyenne.  Mr. Shapley was there when we left the driveway with a quiet confidence knowing what we were up to. Of course, Eddie drove the speed limit the entire time! :)  Now as a father of 3 boys and my oldest driving, I hope to have that same calm confidence he had.

Ed was part of my early experiences here at WyDOT.  He was a good mentor and just an all around good guy. There were definitely some good times to be had back then and Ed was a part of them.
