John ... to my knowledge, I only met EK once and that was when the two of you invited me to stay at your home after your retirement. It was completely obvious to me how blessed you were to have EK as your wife. I am deeply sorry for your loss and you have a bunch of Albuquerque’s “extended” family that feel the same. God Bless. We will miss this beautiful and wonderful force of nature. The room lit up when EK entered. We knew John many years before EK entered his world. He and both of us are better knowing and loving her.

While staring at this memorial I was at a loss for what to write, yet I knew I had to say something. Then I realized EKay’s picture says it all ... the eyes, the smile, the hat. The eyes are confident and intelligent, the smile is easy and engaging, the hat is whimsical and fashionable at the same time. Yes, the picture says it all. There’s nothing more to say than, “Peace sweet lady”

I pray these words make it swiftly to you in Heaven where I know you continue to be the life of the party. From the moment I met you I knew I was always in for a big smile. Your personality is so infectious and joyous you made the room light up. I am so blessed to have known you and learned from you. Thank you so much for teaching my wife, your grand daughter, to be the light of the world. We will never forget you and will always remember the good times we had together. Hopefully we inherit some of your good luck at the casinos! I love you so much and miss you dearly. Dominique and I will make you so proud and our kids will know so much about you. You were a boss lady long before boss ladies were a thing. With all my love... Hunter

I will miss you my beautiful friend. I always looked forward to you and John's visits to the Quarter and always thought that we would have more. I will keep an eye on John, just like you did. Rest in peace Ekay.

Wonderful memories, wonderful times through the years with E Kay and John. E Kay was classy, elegant, and fun!! My wife and I enjoyed our annual September birthday celebrations with E Kay and John. Lots of great memories at the AZ Biltmore golf course as well. Though her candle burned out too early, I’ll always cherish the light she carried with her presence when we all got together. God bless — you’ll be greatly missed. Brian and Pam

Ekay will be greatly missed. She was always upbeat and a joy to be around. John and Ekay were a match made in heaven. Never saw two people more suited for each other. They made you feel welcome at every occasion. The world has truly lost some of its light. My heart is with her beautiful family in this difficult time.
God Bless you forever Ekay!
