Edward Yue, 83 left this world to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 24, 2022. Edward was born January 30, 1939. He was third child of Frank T.C. Yue and Tang Wai Yue. Edward attended North Phoenix High School, Arizona State University and served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He worked as an investigator for the Maricopa County Public Defender for over 25 years and retired from that profession. He was also an avid bowler (Cranie’s Phoenician and the JACL Bowling League) and golfer until his illness slowed him down, but did not diminish his love of attending any ASU sports (football, basketball and baseball) and his love of the outdoors. If he and his friend Bob got drawn for elk, deer, turkey or javelina, it was time to pack up the trailer and head north to Flagstaff or Williams, AZ for a week of hunting relaxation with Francis being the camp cook. There was no roughing it during these times as he camped out in trailers.
Edward enjoyed serving the Chinese community. He served as past president in the following organizations: Chinese United Association of Greater Phoenix, Phoenix Yee Fung Toy, Phoenix Chinese American Citizens Alliance, and Chinese Chamber of Commerce of AZ. He was also an active member of Phoenix Chinese Week and the Thomas Tang American Legion Post 50. He served as a Grand Executive on the national level of Chinese American Citizens Alliance for several terms.
He is preceded in death by his parents and late wife, Sharon Yue.
