It is with unimaginable sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved granddaughter, Elise Sky Brown. She was a lively member of the Brown clan. Born to Debra Entwistle and Shawn Michael Brown February 27, 2003. She lived with her grandparents following the death of her father in 2005. She graduated from high school in 2021 and studied mortuary science at Chandler/Gilbert College.
Growing up, she accompanied grandparents Norm and Joyce Brown, on their many trips to Lake Powell with her cousins. She loved camping, fishing, and all the great outdoors. At the early age of 7, Elise became enchanted with horses and show jumping, many times a blue ribbon winner, her room walls were festooned with many of them, plus many red and white as well. She loved animals, especially her horse Mo, our cat Ms Kitty, and her most recent passion was for snakes. Sky had a big social media account, documenting her adventures collecting animal bones and sharing her thoughts and opinions. Elise marched to the beat of her own drum, she was politically vocal, and often assisted the homeless with transportation, food and supplies. She was a great cook and an exceptional baker. She had a beautiful singing voice and sang with a rock band in high school.
She was all things good.
My beautiful, unique, brilliant, fearless, tall daughter
Since the day we found out you were on your way, and debating your name, you have been loved. I will miss you terribly, I will miss the sound of your voice, your beautiful smile, your ability to understand every song lyric, your cooking, and your dark humor. I will carry your memory everywhere I go, and celebrate you forever
Love you always, always
-Mom
My baby sister, I will always and forever miss you. Elise was a kind and creative person, she baked special birthday cakes for me every year, made me jewelry. I will miss all of that, and cherish all of the memories we had together from family vacations to the Midwest, to watching movies with Mom. I love you Elise, and I will see you again one day.
- Isabella
Elise adored her boyfriend, who is a paramedic. She will be sadly missed. Sleep well our sweet Sky.
Elise is survived by her mother Debra Entwistle, sister Isabella Bravo, grandparents Norm and Joyce Brown, many aunts, uncles and cousins in AZ, IL, CO, OR. She was preceded in the death by her father Shawn Michael Brown and maternal grandparents.
There will be a private family gathering.
