

Born in Northern California, Elizabeth's love for art, literature and family shaped her life and the lives of all who knew her. In school, Elizabeth enjoyed sports and was active in many clubs, graduating from Stockton High School in 1949. Her career as a Section Manager at San Joaquin County HSA in Stockton, CA assisting families in need spanned several decades, retiring in the early 1980’s. She also served as President of the Stockton Chapter of DeMolay International Mother’s Club. Upon retirement and re-location to Arizona, Elizabeth enjoyed traveling the USA with her husband, Gerald, often golfing, bowling, antiquing for her many collections and visiting family & friends all along the way. She was skilled in calligraphy, drawing, cake decorating, tailoring, sewing Daisy Kingdom dresses for her granddaughters, enjoyed reading immensely, collecting cookbooks, cooking/hosting and simply making everyone’s life better in a myriad of ways.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald “Scotty” Scott, her son David Maier, first husband Norlyn R. Maier, parents Jose & Francisca Olivares, sisters Francisca Perez, Lillian Hicks and Sarah Karvonis as well as brothers Raymond Olivares, Joseph Olivares, and Roland Oliver.
Elizabeth will be forever loved and dearly missed by her daughters, Elizabeth (Bret) Kaiser and Vicky (Paul) Junker; her 10 grandchildren Cattarina (Dylan) Christopher, Brandon Kaiser, Deanna Maddock, Dawn (Chris) Davis, Tara Maier, David Maier Jr., Joel (Katie) Paulson, Jesse (Therese) Paulson, Jason (Tasha) Paulson, Rhiannon Junker and 17 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are entrusted to Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ 85027.
A visitation will be held at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, located at 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ 85027, on October 15, 2025, from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
The funeral service will take place at the same venue on October 16, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a committal service from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
